In a vibrant, cartoonish living room filled with nostalgia, the scene unfolds to celebrate Grandad's 90th birthday. The room is charmingly adorned with family photos and quirky memorabilia from the 1930s and 1940s, including a sepia-toned snapshot of a young Grandad in a dapper suit, evoking fond memories. At the heart of the room, a fireplace crackles with a warm fire, and the mantel above is decorated with various trinkets and an old-fashioned clock that ticks contentedly.

At the center of the celebration stands Grandad, depicted as a cheerful and sprightly man with silver hair and glasses, clad in a festive sweater that proudly displays '90' in bright, colorful numbers. With a glimmer of joy and surprise lighting up his face, he holds a large birthday cake adorned with candles shaped like '9' and '0'. Nearby, a slightly transparent, cartoonish version of Grandad from when he was 89 mischievously interacts with the scene, wearing a party hat and pulling away a large '-1' sign attached to the current Grandad's sweater, revealing the full '90' underneath as he steps playfully out from his present-day shadow.

Surrounding Grandad are family members of all ages—children, teens, and adults—clapping and cheering with excitement. One child proudly holds a bouquet of helium balloons that spell out '90', adding to the festive atmosphere. The room is further enhanced by colorful streamers and banners that dangle from the ceiling, with a whimsical sign proclaiming 'Happy 90th Birthday!' hovering above Grandad.

A table nearby is heaped with brightly wrapped presents, adorned with oversized bows that convey a sense of joy and surprise. The wrapping mixes vintage patterns with modern designs, symbolizing the blend of past and present. The centerpiece, a magnificent three-tiered birthday cake, features intricate decorations reflecting different decades of Grandad's life—from the 1930s and 1940s on the bottom tier to the 1990s and 2000s at the top, celebrating a rich and vibrant history.

In the corner of the scene, a wall calendar prominently displays the current month, with the date of '90th Birthday' circled in bright red marker, accompanied by a comical doodle of Grandad's face, encapsulating the joy of the day. This whimsical celebration perfectly represents Grandad's journey through life, culminating in this joyous milestone of turning 90.

Visualize an extraordinary room with walls that seem to be alive. They are decorated with fantastical portrayals of animated characters extending 'Happy 90th' wishes. In the middle of the room, a cake designed like a series of delightful mechanical cogs stands unbalanced. Each figure in the '90' is displayed in a diverse, fantastical style, seeming to twirl around the cake in tune to an inaudible tune. Strange beings, all clutching globes appearing as small planets, chuckle with joy, watching a fantastical entity that's a fusion of a balloon and a clock, symbolizing the flow of time and the commemoration of a singular event.

At the top of the illustration image, "Happy 90th, Big Dad — still hoeing, sowing, and showing the weeds who's boss!"

An illustration-style image showing a sprightly elderly man—Big Dad—with a wide, cheeky grin, kneeling on a lush allotment patch surrounded by exaggeratedly huge vegetables (think comically giant carrots, towering sunflowers, and marrows the size of bicycles). He's wearing a straw hat that's slightly too big, glasses askew, and brandishing a gleaming garden hoe like a sword. One mischievous garden gnome peeks out of a cabbage, holding a tiny birthday flag. A handmade sign in the background reads "Big Dad’s 90-Year Growth Plan: No Weeds Allowed!" Butterflies, worms with party hats, and birds holding balloons complete the lively, humorous scene.

The front cover of the greeting card features a dynamic and vibrant vector illustration, capturing a festive birthday celebration for Neva’s 90th birthday.

**Background:**
The background is a crisp, light pastel green gradient, seamlessly transitioning from a soft mint at the top to a delicate sage at the bottom. This provides a fresh and lively backdrop.

**Central Element:**
Positioned centrally is a three-tiered birthday cake with flat, clean shapes. The cake's tiers are alternating shades of emerald green and deep gold, embellished with geometric patterns and subtle highlights. Each tier is adorned with minimalist, triangular flag banners in matching green and gold.

**Balloons:**
Floating around the cake are clusters of flat, vector-style balloons. They are mainly spherical with a slight oval touch to give them a lively bounce. Half are a rich, glossy gold, and the others are a vibrant emerald green, with thin, dark green strings tethering them to the cake base.

**Text:**
A bold, angular banner arches across the top portion of the card. The banner is a metallic gold with a shadowed outline for depth. Written in a modern, sans-serif typeface is “Happy 90th Birthday Neva!” in white, ensuring it stands out crisply against the gold banner.

**Additional Elements:**
- To the left and right of the cake, flat-style confetti in varying sizes and shapes—squares, circles, and triangles—float gently, colored in gold, emerald, and a hint of teal.
- At the bottom of the card, extending horizontally, a clean and simple table is illustrated with a flat shadow effect. It’s painted in a muted olive green, grounding the cake and balloons.

**Inspiration References:**
The illustration takes inspiration from the clean lines and flat vector aesthetics of Yulia Sokolova and Malika Favre. The graphic style, with its focus on color blocking and geometric forms, is reminiscent of Matt W. Moore's dynamic compositions. Meanwhile, the celebration elements have a hint of Von Glitschka’s playful vectors. The overall composition is clean, vibrant, and thoroughly modern, honoring the artist inspirations with its crisp and lively execution.

The scene unfolds on the front of the greeting card in a vivid, dynamic tableau, reminiscent of the lively, illustrative style of a Quentin Blake piece, combined with the intricate detailing of a Gustave Doré illustration. At the center, an animated horse race is captured in a moment of spirited motion. Each horse, finely detailed with expressive, flowing manes and tails, gallops with a sense of energetic urgency. The lead horse, with a striking dappled gray coat, is prominently in the foreground, its nostrils flaring and hooves kicking up a flurry of dirt and grass in its wake.

The jockey atop the lead horse, clad in a bright, vibrant silk outfit of red and gold, wears an oversized birthday hat, adding a whimsical touch to the scene. The jockey's grip is firm, but there's a cheeky hint of the absurd as he holds a bottle of champagne, which sprays jubilant streams of sparkling liquid into the air. The champagne bottle, illustrated with meticulous detail, showcases a label adorned with the number "90," prominently displayed in elegant, Art Nouveau-inspired typography, as a nod to the milestone birthday.

In the background, a lively crowd of spectators, dressed in a variety of Edwardian-era fashions, are rendered in a detailed linework reminiscent of Arthur Rackham. Some spectators peer through monocles and opera glasses, while others wave handkerchiefs and clutch programs with "90th Birthday Race" emblazoned on them.

The sky above the racecourse is a wash of pastel blues and purples, blending seamlessly into one another like a Maxfield Parrish painting, dotted with fluffy clouds that provide depth and softness to the scene. To the right of the racecourse, a whimsical touch is added with a distant, delicate image of a giant cake on a table, adorned with 90 candles, their flames flickering brightly, captured mid-breeze.

In the foreground, just beneath the galloping horses, a scatter of confetti and a few popping balloons lie strewn about the ground, while a small mouse in a waistcoat and top hat looks up in awe, a subtle nod to Beatrix Potter's charming animal characters. The edges of the card are bordered with a swirling pattern of champagne bubbles and elegant racing silks, tying the entire design together in a cohesive, playful, and thoroughly detailed celebration of a 90th birthday.

At the top of the illustration image, "Happy 90th, Big Dad — Still Pulling More Weeds Than Muscles!"

A funny, illustrated scene of a cheerful elderly man (Big Dad) in his allotment, wearing oversized gardening gloves and a floppy sunhat. He has short grey hair (no beard or moustache), and is happily wrestling with a giant, cartoonish mutant dandelion that’s pulling back with comical force. Around him, smiling vegetables (like a tomato and a carrot) are cheering him on with tiny banners that read “Weed Whacker Legend!” and “Turnip the Birthday Fun!”. A nearby sign says “Plot 90” stuck into a patch of flourishing plants, and there’s a cake with 90 candles stuck into a wheelbarrow full of compost. A robin on a spade is wearing a party hat. Bright, cheerful colors and lots of playful gardening details create a silly and lighthearted birthday scene perfect for Big Dad's big day.

A whimsical, colourful illustration of an elderly man (Big Dad) with wild white hair and gardening gloves, proudly standing in his allotment garden.
